Summer is just around the corner & we are both all abuzz with excitement. We are really looking forward to spending time together with you & enjoying this celebration of love.
Today I realised that there are a lot of adjectives that I can use to describe the upcoming festivities…
At the July event –
It is going to be HOT!
Please expect hot weather! I really can’t emphasize it enough, especially for our out-of-town guests. As it is a garden party you can expect to find plenty of shade trees, lawn games, a barn & even a swimming pool. In a later post, we give you a suggested packing list. Expect to bring your bathing suits & a towel. Sunglasses are a great idea & don’t forget your sunscreen. There are plenty of options to help you cool down, but please be mindful when you dress – wool sweaters are not recommended!
It is going to be SUNNY!
More important than the swimming pool, lawn games, photo opportunities & more, we are delighted to invite you into our inner circle. Please arrive on time & be part of our sunshine parade! This means wearing yellow & your brightest smiles! Follow Elizabeth’s brother Chad as he gathers everyone together & takes us all on a journey to the ceremony circle.
It is going to be DELICIOUS!
We are preparing some really special food for this event. We will have a food truck on site serving up summer delights throughout the day – try not to fill up on appetizers! As this is planned to be an all day garden party we will not have specific serving times & not everyone will be able to eat at once. Please enjoy visiting the food truck throughout the day as they shift from course to course. I promise there will be plenty of food & there is no need to panic or wait in a long line.
It is going to be EARTH FRIENDLY!
All food will be served on beautiful earth friendly fallen palm leaf plates & bowls along with wooden utensils. We have selected products that are 100% natural. Each plate & bowl is made of renewable naturally fallen palm leaves. They biodegradable and compostable, which make them a stylish & sustainable alternative for products made from foam and plastic. All of these items may be taken home to be washed & reused. We recommend, however, that you scrape off the food & toss them into our small fire bowl located on site.
It is going to be DAZZLING!
The entire day is filled with thoughtful details to delight your eyes, tickle your taste buds & touch your heart.
